Best Running Shoes Asics

If you're an Asics fan and a heavy weight runner like me, the best running shoes Asics has to offer is the Asics Gel Kahana series. During the past two years that I have been running, which started out as regimen to bring down my weight from 210 lbs to 180, trail shoes have been my trusted companions. They were actually recommended not by a podiatrist but by a fellow runner who was also heavily built and used to suffer from knee problems.

Trail shoes have that extra bulk that could carry the extra beating that heavy-weight runners like me impose on the shoes. Besides, they are designed to provide additional cushioning and shock attenuation with more capability for motion control, since they are actually designed for rough terrain. Rather than suffer the same knee problems, I heeded the advice about trail shoes and it led me to the Asics brand. Although New Balance could also be a choice when it comes to cushioning, the best running shoes Asics has to offer in terms trail shoes works better for me.

The Asics Gel Kahana series is one of my favorite trail shoes, since it has what running shoe experts call as shock attenuation ability. It's all about the trail running shoes having elements or material at both end of the shoes, to meet the impact that the runner creates on the shoe and how it will support the arch as it bears the weight of the runner. It's not just about thickness or stiffness of the material in meeting the impact of the runner's weight but also about its flexibility and compliance. Hence, the cushion material used should be resilient but slow enough in returning to its normal shape as a means of easing out the force of the impact.

For me, the best running shoes, Asics came up with possessing these particular qualities are the Asics Gel Kahana series. The Gel Cushioning System attenuates the initial impact while its DuoMax Support System provides the cushioning system to support the foot once the heel transitions to toe-off. Although trail shoes were designed for off-road running, the traction ability of these trail shoes is more responsive to the demand of my body weight over the ability of the ordinary running shoes. In addition, their materials are intended to last longer in terms of durability.

Considering the weight that I have to impose on these shoes, the resilience and tensile strength of the cushioning material should likewise be more durable than the ordinary running shoes in order to meet the impact that my weight creates. The compression of Asic's EVA midsole for these Asics Gel Kahana trail running shoes, has been responsive enough to spread out the impact so the cushioning slowly returns to its shape which ably supports my gait cycle.

I highly recommend Asics Gel Kahana, to those who are looking for the best running shoes- Asics has to offer in the form of trail shoes.
